Ardi was the oldest skeleton of human ancestor found in world's history. she lived at a dawn of a new era, when chimps began walking(or climbing). she was short, hairy and had long arms. she roamed the forests of africa 3.2 million years ago. she lived a million years before Lucy. Ardi provides the missing link to the theory that Darwin first announced. The fossils were discovered in Ethiopia's harsh Afar desert at a site called Aramis in the middle Awash region, just 46 miles from where lucy's species was found in 1974. All previously known hominds-members of our ancestral lineage-walked upright on two legs like us. but Ardi's feet, pelvis and hands suggest she used two feet on the ground but used all four limbs when moving in about in the trees.
